Word of the Day: Cloche

So it looks like the...

Well hello there folks it's I Rummie, your Outdoors Gardener. We are reaching the end of the year and that can mean only one think, winter will be here soon. We all know with the onset of winter those temperatures will be falling. That can spell disaster for your outdoor plants. Never fear my friend do I have the solution for you, it's called a cloche. You just drape this over your plants on a chilly night and it will keep your plants nice and toasty.

From Merriam-Webster.com
Cloche /KLOHSH/,noun;

1. a transparent plant cover used outdoors especially for protection against cold

2. a woman's close-fitting hat usually with deep rounded crown and narrow brim

Now that your plants are ready for the long winter months, tell your friend and neighbors about old Rummie's advice, let them know about the cloche. And makes sure to leave old Rummie any examples down below. Thank you.
