Word of the Day: Overshadow

Can you believe it; after all these this our little school has a shot to play for the state championship. All we have to do is make it past this game and we can punch our tickets. But let's not let the thoughts of place for the championship overshadow the importance of tonight's game. Remember we need to take it one game at a time.

From Dictionary.com
Overshadow o-ver-shad-ow \oh-ver-SHAD-oh\, verb;

1 ;To be more important or significant by comparison.

2 :To cast a shadow over; to cover with clouds, darkness,
etc.; darken ot obscure

3 :To make sad or hang heavily over, cast a pall on

Let's hope the finishes before the ends before that storm moves in. The sky looks tp be overshadowed, off in the distance.
