Sunday Photo: Hands Say A Lot
Ever encounter people and for a moment find yourself wondering what kind of person they are or what kind of life they've lived? Take a look at their hands. Hands tell a story about the person. You can look at someone's hands and see if they've lived a rough life by the wear and tear of the skin, the care of the nails, the lines and cracks along every part. If someone does manual labor, you see it in their hands. If a person has lived a life free of such labor and tough times, their hands will be smoother, well cared for and nice looking.
You can determine attitudes about appearance by how a person cares for or does not care for their hands.
Nervous habits can be seen in the hands, do they chew their nails, do they pick at their skin? Is the person tapping their fingers on a table, are they fidgeting their fingers as they walk?
You can also see general health in a person's hands. Are the nails discolored or yellow? Are the nails cracked or brittle and dry? These are all signs of illness and/or treatment for an illness.
So, the next time you're out and about, take a look at the hands all around you. You might be surprised what you find out.
